Join us at the beautiful Los Angeles Central Library for The Life We Were Made For: Spiritual Practices for the Whole of Life and Work, an intimate gathering exploring a richer vision for whole-life discipleship.
Together, we’ll discover a practical framework for integrating faith into every area of life and explore spiritual practices that can renew the way we work, rest, relate, and engage with the world around us. Designed to be revisited through the daily, weekly, and seasonal rhythms of life, this framework offers a way of cultivating greater attentiveness to God’s presence and purpose wherever He has placed us.
Throughout the gathering, participants will not only learn about these practices but have opportunities to experience them firsthand within the rich literary and creative environment of the Los Angeles Central Library.
Come step away from the busyness of everyday life and consider how intentional spiritual rhythms can shape the life we were made for.

Speakers
Jonathan Koch, English Assistant Professor at Pepperdine
Jonathan Koch is assistant professor of English at Pepperdine University, where he teaches courses in Shakespeare, Renaissance Poetry, and Digital Humanities, as well as in the Great Books Program. His research focuses on early modern British literature, history, and religion, with a particular focus on the experiences and expressions of religious toleration in seventeenth-century England. Professor Koch has published articles on toleration and on book history and has held fellowships at the California Institute of Technology and the Henry E. Huntington Library. He is a ruling elder at Pacific Crossroads Church in Santa Monica, where he also lives.
Margaret Lindsey, Director of Spiritual Formation at CFWLA
Margaret provides operational guidance and designs the spiritual formation curriculum for the Center for Faith + Work Los Angeles. Margaret is also founding president and studio artist at Destination: Art, a non-profit studio and gallery in Downtown Torrance. Margaret was the founding president of the Pastel Society of Southern California. Both of these art organizations promote the value of fine art and the local artist. Margaret formerly served as a US Air Force Officer, managing satellite systems after receiving a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from The University of Southern California. Margaret provided extensive support for the education of their two children through a parent participation school, while integrating a biblical worldview. Margaret is also a Colson Fellow with the Colson Center for Christian Worldview and earned a Certificate in Spiritual Formation from Talbot Seminary at Biola University.
