What are ways that you see the Lord at work in your daily work now?

As for many, work for me has shifted dramatically over the past year. I was recently laid off due to COVID-19 and was thrust into a season of deep trust surrounding where the Lord was calling me and how He would provide. He has continued to reveal the value and dignity of all work to me, not only the tasks I was completing in the 9-5, but through who I was able to be to people in my life on a daily basis. That by leaning into the gifts He has given me I was able to create space for fellow image-bearers, slow down and appreciate the beauty around me as well as gain a richer understanding of our greater calling as the Church.

What appealed to you about the mission of CFWLA?

In my role as a Community Group Leader, the most common request that comes up in prayer or discussion is for work. What is my calling? Why does God have me in this industry or at this organization? Does my work matter? CFWLA’s mission to answer these questions and create space for education around the reimagination of work in Los Angeles spoke volumes to me. Having attended events on the topic over the past few years, it feels like a true gift to now be able to partake in the vision and to help others learn how to walk more holistically in the truths God has for their work.

What makes you most excited about the future direction of CFWLA?

I am looking forward to expanding the breadth and depth of the reach CFWLA has. To continue to see more leaders in every industry in Los Angeles being awakened to God’s heart for their work and for the impact that new perspective will have on their colleagues and in their communities. Each step in this direction feels exciting, inspiring, full of great purpose and I’m grateful to be part of the team.
